- A number that is larger than any finite quantity; an uncountable value used in mathematics. In calculus, the limit of 1/x as x approaches zero is said to be infinity.
- An idealised point that a sequence or function approaches as its values grow without bound. The series 1 + 2 + 3 + … diverges toward infinity.
