strong force JUST WRITTEN FOR YOU

/strɔŋ fɔːrs/ · strong·force
noun
  1. One of the four fundamental interactions in nature, also called the strong nuclear force, that binds protons and neutrons together within an atomic nucleus. The strong force overcomes the electromagnetic repulsion between positively charged protons, keeping the nucleus stable.
Did you know? Although it is roughly 100 times stronger than the electromagnetic force, the strong force acts only over distances of about one femtometre, the size of an atomic nucleus.
